Bhairavnath Temple
This old temple dedicated to the fifth avtar of Lord Shiva is located at Bhargav Lane on top of the Barafkhana hill.
Story - The Lord is in the form of Pindi here. It is believed that Baba Bhairavnathji during his early childhood rested here. The stone over which Babaji took rest is being worshipped as Pindi.
Lord - Saffron coloured and covered with Gold-Silver foils, he is decorated with Jasmine oil and Desi Ghee. Bhog offerings include milk, bread, rum, sweets, fruits and variety of alcoholic drinks. He is in the form of a child. Every Tuesday and Saturday, Yagna is held in this temple. Rituals are routinely held to ward off evil spirits etc. Bhabhooti and Black thread of the lord are given to the devotees. The major festival here is the Bharav Jayanti every year when Mela and poor feeding is held. The devotees believe that the Baba fulfils all their wishes. However, prayers for success in trade, relief from enemies and from loans are said to get answered very fast. Poor feeding done twice every day here.
Mahakali, Mahadev Shiv family, Ganapati, Hanuman, Giriraj, Navgrah are also present here.
